The first day of the Samba Special Samba Schools parades of It was a real show of colors, rhythms and creativity. Between Friday night and Saturday morning, 14 schools crossed Avenida do presenting plots that explored topics such as rich Afro-Brazilian culture, literature and the search for justice.
One of the most exciting moments of the night was the tribute to the iconic singer Cazuza, who brought nostalgia and emotion to the audience. The schools had between 55 and 65 minutes to impress the judges, and the competition was fierce.
The program continues this Saturday, with the Eagles of Golden School, which promises to delight with the plot “in satin flaps, gold eagles the way life wants”, from 23h.
Parallel to the parades, the street blocks have also stirred the city of São Paulo, attracting a large number of visitors. The city, aware of the increase in the flow of people, has prepared a megaestructure to ensure the safety and comfort of residents and tourists. With reinforced policing and water distribution, the city is ready to receive the public.
Mayor Ricardo Nunes highlighted the expectation of breaking public records, thanks to the assembled structure. The street blocks started early, with one starting at 7:30 am in Barra Funda, offering options for all tastes and schedules.
