Chosen for Minister, Alckmin says Gleisi will be “a good surprise”

Vice President Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) said, on Friday (28), that federal deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR), appointed to assume the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, will be a “good surprise” and will help in the articulation of the government with the National Congress.

“I believe she can improve dialogue with Congress. She has extensive experience. He was minister and senator. It has a good dialogue with chamber and Senate, ”said Alckmin.

The vice president also stated that the dollar “may fall” with Gleisi’s arrival to the government. “She will be a good surprise,” he said.

As reported by CNNPresident Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) officialized the change in the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, after the departure of Minister Alexandre Padilha to head the health portfolio.

Note sent by the Presidency’s Secretariat of Communication (Secom) reported Lula’s meeting with Gleisi on Friday morning, stating that the president “invited to assume the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic.”

Padilha was relocated to health after Lula dismissed the then Minister Nísia Trindade. He will officially assume the folder on March 10, the same date on which Gleisi assumes Sri.
