Find out where the more than 100 radars will be 'hidden' in March, including the Algarve

The places where more than 100 mobile speed control radars will be known in March 2025. The list was released by Public Security Police (PSP), who said that these actions aim to reinforce road safety and promote the compliance with speed limits. With more than 100 radars distributed across the country, the operation includes several points in the Algarve in an attempt to reduce infractions and accidents in the region.

Radars in the Algarve

In the Algarve, the radars will be active in various locations and strategic times, including:

These locations include busy roads, often associated with speed offenses, especially during periods of higher traffic.

OBJECTIVE OF OPERATIONS

According to, PSP stressed that this disclosure of radars is preventive and there may be changes or additional inspections in other places. The main objective is to alert conductors to the risks associated with speeding, promoting safer behaviors.

With the Algarve as one of the regions aimed at, this initiative aims to increase road safety in a territory with high tourist flow and intense traffic.
