The body of a 75-year-old man of Swiss nationality was found on Friday on a ship of the Marina Formosa shipyard in the municipality of Olhão, and the causes of death was also unknown, it was released this Saturday.
The warning to the authorities was given around 17:00 by the owner of that shipyard, and elements of the Maritime Police of Olhão and the Municipal Firefighters of Olhão was moved to the site, said the statement.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Maritime Police of Olhão, who took over the incident, isolated the area, performing all precautionary measures, and the death was declared by the Health Delegate, read in the note.
After contact with the Public Prosecution Service and steps by the Judicial Police, the body was transported by firefighters to the National Institute of Forensic Forensic Forensic Medicine and Faro Sciences.
The Maritime Police Psychology Office has been activated and is supporting the victim’s relatives.
