Gleisi was quoted for the position that was vacant with the relocation of to the Ministry of Health after the resignation of Nísia Trindade. The changes are part of Lula’s ministerial reform.
“I always understood that the exercise of politics is the way to move forward in the development of the country and improve the lives of our people,” he said in the X (former Twitter).

Padilha, who left Sri’s leadership to occupy the health post, praised Gleisi and said he made sure that the new minister will be very successful in the articulation.
