SEUAL (Reuters)-North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, supervised a strategic cruise missile launch test, ordering total readiness to use the country’s nuclear attack capacity and ensure that the nation has its most effective defense, local state press said on Friday.
The test was made to warn “enemies, which are seriously violating the safety environment (from the country) and feeding a climbing in the confrontation environment”, and demonstrating “readyness to its various nuclear means of operation,” said KCNA news agency.
“What is guaranteed by the great attacking ability is the most perfect dissuasion and defense capacity,” said the leader, according to KCNA.
“It is the responsible mission and duty of the Nuclear Armed Forces of the RPDC to permanently defend national sovereignty and safety with the reliable nuclear shield, having greater battle of nuclear force and fully prepared for its use,” he said. RPDC is the acronym of the Democratic Popular Republic of Korea, the country’s official name.
The launch was made on Wednesday, at the sea located on the west coast of the Koreas Peninsula, he said.
