Developed by Loyal, the Loy-002, which increases the longevity and quality of life of dogs, has undergone the “Anvisa of the United States” this week and the company can continue to advance in the survey. It received an investment of US $ 22 million to make it possible to arrive in the market.

The drug had several tests before that. It is administered to jaw daily tablets. The drug acts directly on reducing aging complications.
How it works
The Loy-002 is developed for dogs 10 years or older and weighing over 6.3 kg.
By correcting metabolic dysfunctions in the animal’s body, the remedy allows pets to have a longer and healthier life.
Unlike other treatments that only focus on fighting the symptoms of age -related diseases, Loy acts directly on the causes of old age. Thus, complications are prevented before they even appear.
The FDA accepted the data for a reasonable expectation of effectiveness.
This means that the group has been able to prove that there is a real potential of the drug to prolong the life of dogs.
Now the company conducts a study to further reinforce the evidence.
The clinical trial is the largest in veterinary history and has over 1,000 dogs from 70 clinics from the United States.
The tests should continue for the coming years.
And in the market?
If all goes as expected, the company wants to achieve manufacturing and safety requirements for conditional approval by the end of 2025.
In addition, Loyal also develops other medicines to extend the lives of dogs of large races.
