The mayor of, (), softened the unsuccessful attempts to sanction, before Carnival, the project of amendment to the Organic Law of the Municipality that allows the municipal police.
The proposal of Councilwoman Edir Sales (PSD), who had already been approved in the first round in 2019, was proceeded again on Wednesday (26).
However, councilors Rubinho Nunes (União Brasil) and Luna Zarattini, leader of NA, filed substitutes endorsed by subscriptions from opposition councilors and Nunes’ own base.
Since substitutes need to go through the commissions congress, the proceeding has been postponed and is not expected to resume. The commissions are not yet formed for lack of consensus among party leaders.
With failure on Tuesday, Nunes talked to some councilors and asked the mayor, Ricardo Teixeira (Union) to summon an extraordinary session on Thursday at 7:30 pm.
The mayor would also have charged his government leader more skills, Fábio Riva (MDB), to convince councilors to give up the substitutes.

All the effort was in vain. Luna and Rubinho followed irreducible, and the extraordinary session extended until the end of Thursday night without any consensus for voting.
“Everything is happening normal,” said the mayor. “It is not correct to say that they tried to approve, because there would be no way to vote without before this issue of discussion.”
“Another issue to be analyzed is the current moment. As it is the beginning of the legislative year, the commissions have not yet been constituted, normal at the beginning,” the mayor continued.
Nunes also contemporizes the fact that he presented the substitute. “Rubinho is playing his role, chose to oppose and respect,” says Nunes.
“Everything is happening normal. For those who do not know the chamber regiment ends up doing a wrong reading,” he said.
