Trump suggests that Zelensky doesn’t want peace while Putin wants

President Donald Trump suggested that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “a man who didn’t want to make peace,” while saying Russian leader Vladimir Putin wants to end the war.

“He doesn’t have to stay there and say about Putin that, Putin that – all negative things,” said Trump de Zelensky in comments to reporters when he left the White House.

The Russian leader, on the other hand, said Trump, “will want peace, he wants peace, he wants to end it.”

Trump’s comments came after a meeting with the Ukrainian became a heated discussion about the nature of US support and if Zelensky had shown enough gratitude.

Asked if he was considering cutting military aid to Ukraine, Trump replied, “No matter what I’m thinking. I’m just saying: You saw what I saw today. That was not a man who wanted to make peace, and I’m just interested if he wants to end the bloodshed. ”

The chatter among heads of state occurred after criticism by Zelensky to the posture of the United States governments in the face of Russian actions for the annexation of Ukrainian territories, between 2014 and 2022.

And he said the Ukrainian was betting on millions of lives and World War II – and repeated that Zelensky has no cards for negotiation. The US Vice President Jd Vance then said Zelensky’s stance was ungrateful. “How many times have you said ‘thank you’ at this meeting?” He asked.

The scene caused astonishment around the world. Journalists who have been covering the White House for years to have never seen anything like it, as at least in the televised portion of this kind of meeting the authorities often keep the composure – even that closed -door meetings are hard.
