The Minister of Labor announces changes in the social system. SaS proposes to cut 13. Pensions
Minister of Labor Erik Tomáš announced the planned changes in the social system concerning the calculation of women’s pensions on maternity leave. This change should be approved this year and is intended to improve the position of women in retirement. Meanwhile, the SaS proposes to completely abolish 13th pensions because, according to MEP Martina Bajo Holečková, they are not financially sustainable.
The Minister also plans to introduce family mortgages for families with children and reform to the financing of social services, which, according to him, will require considerable financial investment. The aim of these changes is to strengthen the social system, but at the same time there is a risk that Slovakia will have to take austerity measures.
Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenický indicated that Slovakia will look for a way to consolidate the economy because it will need to balance a significant deficit caused by increasing salaries for doctors and teachers. These financial steps should help ensure the long -term stability of the country.

Slovakia should refuse additional money for Ukraine, said Šutaj Eštok
As part of the upcoming extraordinary session of parliament to foreign policy before the European Union Summit, the Slovak Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok said that Slovakia should not contribute to Ukraine’s financial aid of EUR 30 billion. Šutaj Eštok criticized the military and financial support of Kiev and stressed that peace can only be achieved by negotiations.
According to Progressive Slovakia chairman Michal Šimečka, the support of Ukraine is in accordance with the interests of Slovakia and the EU. He pointed out the Russian ambition to return to the previous sphere of influence before 1997.
SaS deputy Martina Bajo Holečková called for security guarantees and negotiations with the presidents to resolve the situation of the current conflict. The Slovak attitude to further military aid to Ukraine is expected to remain limited.

The leaders of the Ukraine -supporting states met at a summit in London, organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. At the summit they agreed to increase aid for Ukraine. There were EU and NATO officials, but Slovakia and Hungary had no one to represent, as they did not call anyone.
The summit also served to show Europe’s readiness to prevent democracy and define a new relationship with the US. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala confirmed an agreement to increase defense spending. Britain and France are planning to create a plan to stop fighting and involve other countries in negotiations with the United States.

Octavia Eastern was loaded with wood and crashed. The police did not spare criticism
In the village of Drienovec in eastern Slovakia, the Driver Škoda Octavia loaded the car wood to the roof, causing a traffic accident. During the overtaking maneuver, the driver crashed into the van, which led to injury to one woman who will be treated for more than a month.
The police described the driver as a “road pirate” and stressed that the vehicle’s overload caused a remedy and an accident. There were two people in the van, and the co -driver suffered serious injuries. The driver is now pursuing the police because of illegal wood.
The police will find out where the driver took the wood and where he traveled with it. The result of the accident shows the importance of compliance with the rules of loading the vehicle for safe driving.

French President Emmanuel Macron suggested during an interview that the EU should receive French nuclear weapons as protection against the enemies of Europe. This offer comes in accordance with the controversy around the American attitude, which they reassessed after a tense situation with a green house.
France offers the European Union the opportunity to build its own security and independence. Macron emphasizes the need to notify the building of the European Army, while the French nuclear umbrella should serve as a temporary defense.
