Nutritionist Bruna Garcia decided in 2021 to create in Brasilia a candy shop with products without sugar, gluten, lactose or wheat because of her patients to eat candy, but without guilt. “Momma came as a solution to this”said the businesswoman.
“I decided to supply this pain that was very common within the office. A candy you can consume every day, which will not change blood glucose and won’t hurt. Quite the contrary, it will add nutritionally to the health of those who consume because they are natural and healthy ingredients ”said Bruna Garcia.

According to the nutritionist, Momma has only one sugar product, the functional brownie, which takes coconut sugar and is designed to be a pre-workout. “It is calculated with selected ingredients to eat before training and have a stable energy throughout this training”.
To sweeten sweets, the nutritionist says Momma uses cassava fiber sweetener with Stevia. “There are 2 extremely natural and safe ingredients for diabetics”.

Currently, Momma has two units in Brasilia: one in Asa Sul and one in the North Wing, and the South Wing Unit also has sugar -free and polyol unit.
Even without sugar, gelato still have sweet flavors and palatability equal to that of a sugar product. “We had a specific consultancy for this, which took 10 months to develop gelato the way it is. There were many tests and we managed to get to this formula ”said the nutritionist.
Bruna intends to inaugurate two more units of Momma in Brasilia still in 2025, one in Águas Claras and one in Lake Sul.
The initial investment of the North Momma wing store was about $ 250,000.
Entrepreneurship
Asked which tip would give to someone who wants to undertake, Bruna says she must be patience about making money. “People think they will undertake and already make money, but it’s not like that. Things are slow, it has to be very on the floor. The company has a very high cost, has a lot of responsibility. It takes patience ”.
Bruna also said that it takes courage to undertake. “Fear paralyzes us.
