Who will participate in the summit
Before the meeting begins at 16:00 Greek time, the Ukrainian president will meet with King Charles.
The meeting will attend, among other things, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olf Saltz, Canada Prime Minister Justin Trinto, Poland Donald Tusk, Italy Giorgia Meloni and European Secretary -General Nato Lainen and Antonio Costa.
On March 6, an extraordinary European Summit for Ukraine is scheduled.
The issues of the session
According to Downing Street, today’s summit will focus on “strengthening Ukraine’s position today, including continuing military support (to the country) and the exerted economic pressure in Russia”.
Participants will also discuss “the need for Europe to take on its role in the field of defense”, at the risk of lifting the military and nuclear US umbrella.
