Governor was at the Samba School shed to follow the latest preparations for the Tuesday Parade (4.Mar)

The governor of Pará, (MDB), was on Saturday (1st.mar.2025) in the Barraco of Academicos do Grande Rio, in the city of Samba, Rio. The association will pay tribute to the state of Pará at this year’s carnival, with the theme “Pororocas Parawaras: the waters of my charms in the accounts of the Curimbós.” The school parades on Tuesday (4.mar).

Accompanied by the first lady Daniela Barbalho, Deputy Governor (MDB) and Senator (PSD-AM), Barbalho expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to highlight the Para culture in the national scene.

In a video shared on social networks, the governor appears samba with passists, interacting with drum rhythm and holding the flag of Pará.

Watch the video (1m48s):

“It is Pará in Sapucaí, showing to the world our fauna, our flora, our culture, our roots, all wonderful,” said Barbalho.

The plot of the great river will address the traditions, legends and spirituality of the Paraense Amazon, with an emphasis on biodiversity and natural phenomena, such as pororocas. The choice of theme is strategic, considering that Pará will host COP 30 in November, in the city of Belém.
