STF minister wants PGR investigation that can result in the cassation of Eduardo Bolsonaro

As soon as the Carnival is over, on Ash Wednesday (5), Minister Alexandre de Moraes, from the Supreme Court (STF), will return to the load against Federal Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), which will ask the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) to speak within five days of a criminal news that attributes to the parliamentary crimes against national sovereignty.

PT leader in the House, Lindbergh Farias (RJ), and Deputy Rogério Correia (PT-MG) have asked Eduardo Bolsonaro to be investigated criminally by articulating reactions to the STF with American politicians, including President Donald Trump.

The STF Minister, Alexandre de Moraes, requested the PGR to investigate alleged infractions committed by Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, including the possible apprehension of his passport/photo: Reproduction

They also asked his passport to be seized to interrupt the “illicit conduct ongoing”. Deputies say former President Jair Bolsonaro’s son captured a “true attempt to embarrass not only one member of one of the powers of the Republic, but the national judiciary itself.”

The parliamentarians confirmed that Alexandre de Moraes dispatched asking for an opinion from PGR. The minister’s craft has not yet reached the Attorney. On social networks, Eduardo Bolsonaro stated that his activity abroad is “to denounce the facts that happen in Brazil”

“They want to run over parliamentary immunity, they want to end freedom of expression,” he said in a video published on social networks. Alexandre de Moraes awaits a PGR opinion to make a decision. The minister was criticized by the United States State Department.

In a statement issued this week, Donald Trump’s government stated that “blocking access to information and imposing fines on US -based companies for refusing to censor individuals who live there is incompatible with democratic values, including freedom of expression.”

The demonstration refers to decisions of Alexandre de Moraes against X and Rumble -the latter follows under block -because they fail to comply with requirements provided for in Brazilian law to operate in the country. Rumble filed a lawsuit against Alexandre de Moraes in the United States, together with Trump Media, linked to US President Donald Trump. In the STF, the initiative was received as an attempt to intimidate the minister.

Companies claim that Moraes violated US sovereignty by ordering the suspension of the profile of blogger Allan dos Santos, a fugitive in the United States. The request to breach decisions of the minister, however, was rejected by the American court. In a speech in the plenary last Thursday, 27, the minister defended the sovereignty of Brazil and criticized “imperialism”. “Our full oath of defense of the Brazilian Constitution and the sovereignty of Brazil, for the independence of the judiciary and the citizenship of all Brazilians.

We are no longer a colony on September 7, 1822 and with courage we are building an independent and getting better republic, ”he said at the session. Itamaraty also spoke. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Brazilian government received the American demonstration “with surprise” and that “firmly rejects any attempt to politicize court decisions.”
