The president of China, Xi Jinping, met last Friday with the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, to reaffirm that both countries are “friendly neighbors and true friends” and that both he and the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, have communicated twice this year to plan the development of bilateral relations.
The president has emphasized the need to maintain close communication between the two countries, implement the consensus achieved by the two leaders and promote good neighborhood, comprehensive strategic cooperation and mutual benefit, as reported by the Chinese Xinhua news agency.
In recent days, however, rumors have emerged about how close the relationship between the two countries can be. A video that has been circulating on social networks has fed speculation about a decisive step between China and Russia: the sending of Chinese citizens to Russian military units. This information, however, has not been confirmed and are only rumors.
This is made by the Ukrainian commentator and former advisor to the Interior Minister of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko in a publication in his X account. “On the Internet a video appeared in which Chinese citizens are seen with Russian military uniform. One of them takes the mark of the Russian military unit Bars,” he explains.
Next, according to the medium he points out that “it is said that the video was recorded in the direction of Pokrovsk, in the Donetsk region.” “The video has not been verified and it is not clear where and when it was recorded,” he says.
