The 19-year-old Red Bull Bull Pedro Severino suffered a traffic accident at dawn on Tuesday (4) on Anhanguera Highway. He was seriously injured and is admitted to the Municipal Hospital of Americana, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to a report by the Highway Police, he was diagnosed with head trauma. The medical report released by the Americana City Hall says he was referred to emergency surgery when he entered the hospital and that the procedure was successful.
The player is still in serious condition and receiving ICU respiratory support. Also according to the newsletter, the family awaits stabilization of the painting to be transferred.
Pedro Castro, 18 and also from the Bragança Club base, was in the car and suffered minor injuries. He was in the back seat of the car at the time of the accident and Severino, in the front, next to the driver.
The players were returning to the club’s CT in Atibaia after a visit to the families in Ribeirão Preto when the car they were crashed into the back of a truck at the time of the city of Americana.
In a statement, the club said it has become aware of the incident and is providing all the necessary support for the athletes.
Pedro Severino is the son of Lucas Severino, who played for the Brazilian team, as well as Corinthians and Athletico.
The player formed at the base of Ribeirão Preto Botafogo and is loaned to Red Bull Bragantino, where he should be until February 2026.
