China promised to “fight to the end” after US President Donald Trump climb the trade war
Beijing retaliated as he also imposed rates up to 15% on certain US products, expanding control to a dozen US companies and flying a court process in the World Trade Organization (WTO). A firm message has been sent: the Chinese will not bend in the face of “hegemony or bullying.”
“Pressure, coercion and threats are not the right way to deal with China. Trying to exercise pressure on China is a mistake, ”said Lin Jian, a spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, according to CNN.
“If the United States insists on a tariff war, commercial war or any other type of war, China goes to the end,” he added.
