The appointment of (PT) for the political articulation lit the debate on the new holder of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, a vacancy for which the petista was already quoted. The President () evaluates the name of the federal deputy (-SP) for the position, if he wishes to replace Márcio Macêdo, also of the PT.
According to the president’s interlocutors, he mentioned in conversations the name of Boulos, his candidate for the City of São Paulo last year. Leadership of the (Homeless Workers Movement), Boulos would occupy the folder responsible for the dialogue with social movements.
Current occupant of the function, Macêdo was treasurer of Lula’s campaign to the presidency in 2022. For his fierce profile, Boulos would fit in one of the criteria that led Gleisi’s choice for the Secretariat of Institutional Relations: the political dispute. Sought by SheetBoulos did not answer.
Another name remembered for the General Secretariat is that of lawyer Marco Aurélio Carvalho. Coordinator of the prerogative lawyers group, which is aligned with the government, he was one of the president’s advocates during the processes of. His name was quoted for the function during the government assembly in 2022. As he would not be a candidate in 2026, he could remain in office until the end of the government.
The appointment of Boulos, in turn, would require a party chess. PSOL is already at the head of the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples, with Sônia Guajajara, and assistants point out that occupying two folders would not be proportional to the size of the party.
