Minister Cármen Lúcia, from (STF), maintained the payment of an extra benefit of more than $ 8,000 to employees of the Court of Mato Grosso (TJ-MT). The so-called “Vale-Peru”, a punctual increase in the meal allowance in December, had been blocked by the (CNJ) at the end of last year. The information was revealed by CNN and confirmed by Infomoney.
The court’s servers appealed to the Supreme Court asking for the release of payment, arguing that the decision of the National Court of Justice would need to be reviewed, as the benefit had already been processed and incorporated into employee financial planning.
However, Cármen Lúcia rejected the request and upheld the decision of the National Corregedor of Justice, Minister Mauro Campbell Marques, who suspended the payment because he understood that the measure was a “distrust of the heading”.
Extra benefit raised the monthly meal aid from R $ 2,055 to R $ 10,055 exclusively in December. For Mauro Campbell, this type of punctual adjustment characterizes an “atypical and unjustifiable” benefit, demanding “prudence in public resources management”.
In the decision, Carmen Lúcia stated that the interference of the STF in CNJ administrative acts only fits as the last alternative, which, according to the minister, is not the case.
“The suspension of payment was in compliance with the applicable rules, aiming to comply with the constitutional principles that govern the public administration, notably that of morality,” wrote the minister.

With the decision, the penduricolho remains locked and the TJ-MT servers will not receive the extra value at the meal aid.
