The episode involves a client who moved to a coffee just to drink a coffee with milk, but when he received the bill, he noticed something surprising.

When analyzing the values, he realized that, besides coffee, there was an additional 5 euros charge, which allegedly corresponded to the light consumption and access to the establishment’s Wi-Fi network. The situation generated an intense debate on social networks.

Soriano questioned his followers about what they thought about the topic, since the client, who had spent hours at coffee with the computer linked to electricity and using Wi-Fi, paid only a simple drink. Many netizens found the charge fair, highlighting the time that many people, especially those who work remotely, spend in cafes consuming little but using the services of the establishment. Some suggested that people should not be “forretes” and to ask something else.

However, others argue that in these situations, coffees should inform customers in advance about these additional costs. In addition, they recall that many spaces already apply high prices to some products, precisely to cover these extra costs.
