Several congressmen turn their backs to Trump
There will be several congressmen absent on Tuesday night at the Capitol. Around a dozen legislators will not go to listen to the president in repudiation of the policies that Donald Trump has launched in the first month of his presidency. Gerry Connoly, a Democrat who represents the state of Virginia, will be missing in “solidarity with the thousands of veterans who have been fired summary and who will not receive the care they deserve,” he said in a statement. It will not be the only one who plans to boycott the message. They will also do Patty Murray, from Washington; Ed Markey, from Massachusetts; Senator Chris Murphy, from Connecticut; Ron Wyden, from Oregon; Brian Schatz, from Hawaii, and Martin Heinrich, from New Mexico, to mention some.
Trump, on the other hand, will feature some special guests who will clothe him, such as Magnate Elon Musk and Marc Fogel, one of the political prisoners released by Russia, and Laken Riley’s family, Georgia’s university student whose murder served for Republicans to approve.
