The theft of cell phone during the carnival of the state capital fell in 36% compared to the same time as 2024 (February 9-13). According to SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat), from February 28 to March 4, 828 mobile records were recorded, the previous year the number was 1,299 occurrences.
The number of stolen cell phones, when there is no violence in criminal action, fell from 2,255 by 2024 to 1,700 in 2025, a 24%drop.
In the other cities of the state of São Paulo the numbers of theft and theft of cell phones also fell. 1,283 occurrences of cellular thefts were recorded in the cities of São Paulo, a drop of 37% compared to 2024.
