And so the action began, which has been going on since 2005 – “Share your happiness”. From the beginning, over 500 pairs took part in it, which in total donated about 800 thousand. zloty. This action is part of the foundation’s activity, which has been supporting the functioning of the University Children’s Hospital in Krakow, the largest in southern Poland for 33 years. Thanks to her initiatives, many modern devices were financed, among others monitor for displaying images during endoscopic procedures, Ilizarov apparatus for orthopedic operations, laparoscopes, an ultrasonic CUSA knife for neurology, co-finance the purchase of an accelerator for X-ray studio, kidney-cheese apparatus, modernization and renovation of rooms. In addition, the Foundation organizes trainings for staff, events for small patients and their loved ones, since last year it started with the “Hospital Birthday” project, in which about 140 patients have already participated. One of the Foundation’s flagship projects was the first hospital cinema in the lecture hall for patients.
– And every couple who share with us their happiness, giving up flowers, receives these flowers symbolically – adds Bartłomiej Pawlak – he gets from us drawings of small patients with floral motifs, cups for a new way of life and bags. They are such gadgets, but, as we see, they give young people a lot of pleasure.
