3,400 members of the Royal Society were favorable to the expulsion of the billionaire owner of Spacex, Tesla and X (former Twitter)

The Royal Society decided to keep Elon Musk as a member even after 3,400 names from the British institution asked the billionaire to expulsion. The information was for the Guardian.

The claim is that Musk would go against the Code of Society. In addition to the petition, 2 members left the group in reaction to the permanence of the businessman.

Founded in 1660 in the United Kingdom, the Royal Society is one of the most prestigious scientific academies in the world. Big names were already part, such as:

  • Isaac Newton (1643–1727) – Physical and mathematician, formulated studies on the gravity and laws of the movement;
  • Charles Darwin (1809–1882) – Biologist, developed the theory of evolution by natural selection;
  • Albert Einstein (1879–1955) – Physical, created the theory of relativity.

Owner of Spacex, Tesla and X (former Twitter), Musk remains with his on the Society website. The billionaire entered the institution in 2018:
