DECISION OCCURRED AFTER VIDEORY ACCORDING BY THE CHINESE BODY, WHICH SCIENDED NON -CONFORMITIES ABOUT THE IMPOSITION REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHED BY THE COUNTRY ASIATIC

The Secretary of Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture, Carlos Goulart, said in a statement that the Brazilian government is in talks with representatives of the bovine protein industry and the Chinese government in search of solutions that allow the resumption of exports by three suspended refrigerators through the Asian country. “We will continue in dialogue with the exporting private sector and the Chinese authorities to solve the questions pointed out and resume exports of these units,” said Goulart, in the note, noting that Brazil maintains a good performance in agricultural defense, which reinforces the credibility of the sector in the international market.

The Brazilian Government was notified by the China Customs General Administration (GACC) on the temporary suspension of three refrigeration plants in the country: a JBS unit in Mozarlândia (Goiás), one from Nanuque (Minas Gerais) and one of Bon Mart in Presidente Prudente (São Paulo).

The decision occurred after video acids made by the Chinese agency, which identified nonconformities regarding the import requirements established by the Asian country. The affected companies have already been informed and are adopting corrective measures to meet regulatory requirements. The Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, minimized, in the note, the impact of the Chinese decision, noting that Brazil has 126 plants enabled for export to China.

“When we took over, we had 12 suspended plants. We resumed these 12 and opened 43 more of the 55 of this total of 126. So it is not consistent that three suspended plants impact the business relationship, ”said Fávaro.

China is the main destination of Brazilian beef, and exports to the Asian country play a strategic role for the national market.

According to Fávaro, exported cuts have low consumption in Brazil, which favors the pricing in the domestic market. “The fact that we are exporting is good for the formation of the whole,” added the minister.
