Corinthians is hit by Barcelona-EQU and complicates in Libertadores

On the night of Wednesday (5), Barcelona-EQU has undergone Corinthians and won 3-0 in a match valid for the third phase of the Copa Libertadores de America. The goals were scored by Corozo (twice) and Rivero, in a match played at the Monumental Banco Pichincha Stadium.

The first half was completely dominated by Barcelona, ​​which took virtually all offensive actions of the initial 45 minutes. Despite pressing and having more possession of the ball, the home team little created and scared Hugo Souza only in kicks from outside the area, while Timon only reached a counterattack discharged by Garro, who did not play for Yuri Alberto and saw the defender away.

It was 45 minutes from the first stage that the goal came out. After passing in depth, João Pedro Tchoca lost at speed to Carabali and missed inside the area. On the penalty, Corozo hit on one side and Hugo Souza jumped to the other: 1-0 Barcelona.

In the second stage, Barcelona returned better and followed in the attacking field, while Corinthians was still having difficulty playing. In a rare offensive moment, Timon arrived after a good move by Breno Bidon, who crossed to Memphis, who stopped in defense of the goalkeeper.

At 22 minutes, Barcelona increased the scoring when Gustavo Henrique cut crossing against his own goal. The bid, however, was annulled by a Corozo impediment. In the next move, the Ecuadorian team made the same play, but Hugo Souza prevented the second.

Better in the game, Barcelona at 34 with Rivero and still made the third with Corozo, once again, at 38. Final score: 3rd for Ecuadorians.

With the result, Corinthians will need to win four goals difference to advance to the Libertan group stage. In case of a three -goal win, the game goes to penalties. Barcelona may lose for up to two goals that qualify.

The two teams will duel again next Wednesday (12), in the Neo Chemistry Arena. The ball will roll at 9:30 pm (from Brasilia).

Before that, however, both Barcelona and Corinthians play over the weekend. The Ecuadorian team catches Independiente del Valle, on Saturday, for the fourth round of the Ecuadorian Championship, while Timão makes the semifinal of the Paulista Championship against Santos, in the arena.
