The governor of Goiás, (), said on Wednesday (5) that with the singer (without party) in the next elections to the Presidency of the Republic, in 2026.
Caiado says he will start pre-campaign with trips in the coming months. The information was published by the newspaper “O Globo” and confirmed by UOL. The governor also stated that the launch of the pre-candidacy of the two will be in Salvador, on April 4.
However, it is not yet known who will be a candidate for president and vice. According to the governor, the two will be on the same plate, but the decision on who will be the candidate for president will only be made in 2026.
“The important thing is that we will be together,” he told UOL. “The decision will be in 2026. By then we will work.”
Caiado was the first name on the right to put candidacy on the table. He announced his willingness to run in 2026 last year.
Singer Gusttavo Lima revealed the desire to be a candidate in January this year. Since then, he has approached the governor of Goiás and former Coach Pablo Marçal (PRTB), who was candidate for mayor of São Paulo in 2024.
Gusttavo Lima has not yet left. In addition to União Brasil, Caiado’s party, the PP artist, but the acronym did not secure the place for him to run for presidency.
