The president of France, in his today’s profession, called on the French people to be ready “by all means” because of the crisis in, heralding the brave increase in French defense spending, as well as the launch of a European dialogue with regard to the possibilities of using French nuclear power. He noted, however, that the president of France will always have the last reason on this matter.
Emmanuel Macron said that after the US -based change in Ukrainian, “people are becoming more violent and terrorist threats do not retreat,” stressing that the Russian threat is present. “Putin’s Russia murders people in European territories, intervening in political political data and no one believes it will stop,” the French president said, stressing that both his country and the rest of Europe should make their decisions.
‘Europe should be ready for every case’
“The road to achieving a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian does not go through the abandonment of Ukraine, nor from its capitulation,” the French president stressed, noting that “we cannot believe in Russia’s words” and that since there is no agreement.
To this end, next week, the heads of the military staff of countries who are willing to assist Ukraine will meet in Paris, the French president said, while noting that his desire is to keep the United States on the side of Europe. He emphasized, however, that Europe should be ready for the opposite case.
“We need to be ready and equipped to deal with every situation if we want peace,” Emmanuel Macron said, noting that the future of Europe could not be designed in either Washington or Moscow.
Continuing, the French president emphasized that tomorrow in Brussels, critical decisions on European defense will be adopted in Brussels, and it would be agreed that defense spending will now be excluded from European budgetary discipline. The goal, he said, is the Europe’s industrialization, focusing on the defense industry.
Finally, the French president described the US side’s decision to increase duties incomprehensible, stressing that there would be the necessary answers from the European side.
