These cookies are the taste of childhood. My grandmother made them from this recipe

In the Polish People’s Republic, the housewives cheese at the acquisitions of sweets, i.e. a meter, zebra, coconuts, as well as peanuts. This time you will learn the recipe from my grandmother’s notebook for the last cookies. They will immediately cause a wave of childhood memories.

The peanut cake is very fragile and delicate. In this recipe We stuff them with a traditional cocoa-nut fillingalthough nothing prevents you from using your favorite cream, e.g. pistachio. What ingredients do we need to make these cakes?

Cake ingredients:

• 500 g of wheat flour;
• 200 g of soft butter;
• 100 g of powdered sugar;
• 2 eggs;
• 1 yolk;
• 2 tablespoons of cream 18 percent;
• 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

Filling ingredients:

• 300 g of milk powder;
• 125 g butter;
• 125 ml of water;
• 100 g of powdered sugar;
• 50 g of chopped walnuts;
• 2 tablespoons of cocoa.

We prepare peanuts in a pan with cavities. Perhaps you have the form of the PRL in the kitchen cabinet. If not, you can easily buy it in many stores. When choosing such a dish, it is worth cooling the dough in advance so that it is not too hard to make.

At the beginning we start preparing the dough. For this purpose, dissolve the butter and leave them to cool.

In the next step, combine cooled butter with other ingredients and knead the dough. Then divide the mass into small balls with a diameter of about 1 cm.

Fry the balls for a small amount of hot oil for a minute. We remove them from the pan when they are browned.

Then we make a fillingso we melt the butter and add powdered sugar, water and cocoa to it. When the mass cools down slightly, we add milk powder and chopped walnuts.

At the end We fill the halves of peanuts with the prepared filling and put them together. We store these cakes for a maximum of a week in a dry and tight container.
