The Brazilian Alex Pereiraknown as Alex Poatanwill make the main fight of UFC 313 this Saturday (08/03). To defend the light-footed beltPoatan will face the Russian Magomed Ankalaevand the event will take place in Las Vegas, in the United States.
Alex Poatan is 37 years old, 12-2-0 cartel and currently holds the UFC’s light heavyweight belt, and has already been a weight champion. The last defeat was to the Nigerian Israel Adesanya in 2023 at UFC 287.
Magomed Ankalaev is 32 years old and cartel 20-1-1-1sr. The last defeat was also in 2023 for the Englishman Paul Craig at UFC 127 in London. He is the main challenger to the belt, occupying the first position of the light heavyweight ranking.
UFC 313 will also feature seven other Brazilian fighters, including a duel in the women’s straw category, between Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo. The others are: Mauricio Ruffy (lightweight), Brunno “Hulk” Ferreira (average weight), Carlos Leal “The Lion”, Mairon “The Legend” Santos (Pena Weight) and Djorden “Shakur” Santos (average weight), between the main and preliminary cards.
The main fight of the night, between Poatan and Ankalaev, must last five rounds, while the others will have three. The main card begins at 0h (Brasilia), and the preliminary starts at 8:30 pm (from Brasilia).
