The US has interrupted the exchange of information with Kiev in a move that could seriously block the Ukrainian army’s ability to target Russian forces, according to officials who know the issue and cited by the Financial Times.

Donald Trump ordered the interruption of cooperation with the exchange of information together with military aid, CIA director John Ratclifis said.

“I think that on the military front and in the front of the information, the interruption I think will leave and I believe we will work hand in hand with Ukraine as we have to repel the attack there, but to put the world in a better position to make these peace negotiations proceed,”

The move follows the Trump government’s decision on Monday and comes after a dramatic collapse of relations between US President and Ukrainian Volodimir Zelenski last Friday.

The cooperation of US intelligence services is essential for Ukraine’s ability to locate and hit Russian military targets.

Three officials who know the decision confirmed that Washington had frozen the information channels with Kiev.

The US also officially prevented its allies from sharing their own information with Ukraine, two officials said that recipients with assets within the country are likely to continue to transmit information to Kiev. But this would not apply to time -sensitive information and high -value information, such as those required for Ukraine to carry out precision blows on mobile Russian goals.

The US decision to ban their allies from transmitting information to Ukraine was first broadcast by the Daily Mail. After a strong conflict in the Oval Office between Zelenski and Trump, relationships between Washington and Kiev worsened before the recent signs of repair.

Zelenski demonstrated on Tuesday, saying that the meeting in front of the television cameras was “sad” and Ukraine “is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible.” In a letter he also said that he was ready to sign an agreement with Trump “at any time” that would give the US the rights to benefit from the exploitation of Ukraine’s natural resources.

Trump’s speech in Congress

Trump – who had previously called the democratically elected Zelenski “dictator” – said he appreciated the words of the Ukrainian leader.

On Wednesday, Mike Valts, US National Security Advisor, proposed the re -establishment of military aid to Ukraine. “I think if we manage to remove these negotiations and move on to these negotiations and in fact put some confidence -building measures on the table, then the president will carefully examine the removal of this pause,” Valts told Fox News.

At the same time, however, a Bloomberg journalist, citing an official in Kiev, announced through X that Ukraine continues to receive information from the US. However, the Trump government continues to exchange information on Russia and Ukraine with the narrow US allies, such as Britain.

The UK government spokesman refused to comment on reports that the United States interrupted the exchange of information with Ukraine, saying instead that the country focused on doing everything to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position.

“It remains a long -standing position not to comment on information, but what I would say is that we were clear in the past that we would do everything to put Ukraine in the strongest position, especially in terms of defense and security,” the spokesman said.
