"We have intelligence resources." France offers information services to Ukraine after Washington suspension

The United States are pressuring Volodymyr Zelensky to cooperate with President Donald Trump’s attempt to call upon peace with Russia

France is offering its intelligence services to Ukraine a day after Washington has announced that he was going to cease intelligence sharing with Kiev, in what was seen as an attempt to increase pressure on Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The announcement was made by Defense Minister Sebastien Leconnu, on Thursday, in an interview with France Inter.

“We have intelligence resources we use to help Ukrainians,” he said, adding that the information sharing between the US and Ukraine has been suspended since yesterday [quarta-feira] the afternoon”.

Leconnu also said that “to our British friends, who are part of an information community with the United States, is more complicated.”

The British Prime Minister’s Office spokesman refused to comment on the news, but said the UK’s goal was to ensure that Kiev was as strong as possible.

CIA chief John Ratcliffe confirmed during an interview with US television station Fox News that the United States has frozen the provision of information to Ukraine after also cutting military aid.

Information on US secret services is fundamental to Ukraine in the war, guarantee US state officials, cited by the Financial Times.
