Algarve2030 launches warning to finance research and business development

The Algarve 2030 program launched the contest warning to finance research and business development projects, with a global allocation of five million euros, was announced this Friday.

The deadline for the presentation of candidacies takes place until April 24, and is beneficiaries the micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small/medium capitalization companies, the Algarve Regional Development Coordination Commission () said in a statement.

The MPR-2025-04 Warning “SIID-I & D Business-Individual and Copromotion Operations” is intended to support research and development projects carried out individually by companies, or in partnership with other companies and non-business entities of the Research and Innovation System (Enesii).

The operations that integrate industrial research and experimental development activities, leading to the creation of new products, processes or services or to the introduction of significant improvements in existing products, processes or services are considered eligible and supportive.

Supports can reach a maximum rate of 80%, with 3.5 million euros (ME) for copromation projects and 1.5 ME for individuals.

According to CCDR/Algarve, projects should be aligned with the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (Ris3).
