Ukraine has suffered one of Russia’s most intense attacks since the beginning of the year, with missiles and guided bombs hitting various regions of the country throughout Thursday night (6). According to local authorities, at least 18 people were injured, including four children. So far, there are no reports of deaths.
After the attack, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky asked for a truce in the air and the sea, as well as additional pressure on Russia. “The first steps to establish a real peace should be forcing the only source of this war, Russia, to stop these attacks,” Zelensky said in the Telegram app.
The president of Ukraine accused Russia of aiming at “infrastructure that guarantees normal life” after last night’s attacks. Almost 70 missiles and almost 200 drones were used in the attacks, Zelensky said.

Residential buildings were also hit, with a Russian missile reaching a house in Kharkiv, leaving people injured, he said.
Ukraine is ready to seek peace, he said, but the first step should be “forcing the only source of this war, that is, Russia, to stop such attacks against life.”
The attack occurs at the time the US temporarily suspended its military aid to Ukraine, which raises concerns about the country’s ability to continue defending itself from the Russian offensive.

According to Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk, this was the biggest attack launched from the Russian Black Sea fleet in 2025. About 20 missiles were fired throughout the night, reaching several regions. However, Pletenchuk pointed out that the activity of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea remains smaller than in 2024.
