The 4th edition of Sarau Cultural “Sarau das Moças” is already scheduled to take place in Rio Branco. The event will be held on March 29, from 13h to 22h, at the João Donato Art Plant. This soiree was consolidated as a space dedicated to promoting and valuing the work of women micro and small entrepreneurs in the city, with a special focus on the arts performed by them. The diverse program includes music, dance, theater, poetry and exhibitions of visual arts such as photography and fine arts.
This year, the big news is a selection for attractions, aiming to expand the representativeness and quality of the presentations. Registration is open to artists interested in presenting themselves with poetry or scenic performances that involve poetic texts.
Narjara Saab, creator of Sarau, shares the purpose of this edition: transforming the event into a female art and entrepreneurship center. “In addition to providing a space for the sale of products and food by women entrepreneurs, we will offer training with a short vocal technique for singing and a lecture on attendance to diversity in cultural events, addressing PCD and other socially vulnerable groups,” he says.
To participate in the selection, interested parties must meet the following criteria:
- Have at least 2 years of proven experience in the area (in case of pairs or groups, the time of operation is the collective)
- Be an attraction starring women or having at least 50% of female artists, if it is a group
