Trondheim-ski jumper Nika Prevc secured the gold medal on the large hill at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim. The 19-year-old Slovenin clearly prevailed in the first round in front of German Selina Freitag and Eirin Maria Kvandal from Norway, the second round was demolished due to too strong winds. Prevc was crowned the first Slovenian double world champion in World Cup history, and she had previously triumphed on the normal hill.
