Two teachers from a children’s school in Criciúma (SC), about 200 kilometers from Florianópolis, were fired last Thursday (6) after leaving a 3-year-old child exposed to the sun and alone.
The situation was filmed by a witness. In the images, it is possible to realize that the child was crawling, managing to reach the bars that are in the back of a Emergency Care Unit (UPA).
Later, the school unit management contacted her mother to go to the scene to clarify what happened.
The two teachers are responsible for the group 2 class in the morning. On Wednesday (5), both supervised 14 children at the time.
In a statement, Criciúma Social Assistance (APPAs), responsible for the school, said that “it follows attentive and concerned with the well-being of all children” who attend the units under their responsibility.
