The charismatic Czech actor and favorite singer Josef Zíma († 92) died four months after his foot amputation. He became famous as Prince Radovan from the fairy tale Princess with the Golden Star and was also uncrowned by the king of the Czech brass band. The sad news was published on the social network by singer Pavel Skalický, who quoted the portal.
His career was marked by a car accident
Josef Far was born on 11 May 1932 in Prague. After graduation at the grammar school he studied acting at the Theater Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and privately attended singing lessons. After finishing his studies he won an acting engagement in Benešov near Prague, where he worked between 1953 and 1955. He subsequently joined the basic military service, during which he was part of the Army Art Ensemble.
In 1957, Jan Werich became a member of the Satira Theater (today’s ABC Theater), where he remained until 1962. Thirty years (1962-1992) was part of the Prague Chamber Theater. He stood in front of the film camera for the first time in 1957. During this period, he appeared in the comedies of the Štěňa, the search round near the car or in the drama Snadný life.
A year later, he married actress Eva Klepáčová, who became famous in the lead role of Káč in the fairy tale of Grátky with Čerto. The married couple formed until 2012, when Klepáčová died.
Josef Zím has achieved a significant success thanks to the character of the gentle Prince Radovan from the legendary fairy tale Princess SE Golden Hvěda (1959), which still belongs to the festive film classic. Director Martin Frič also occupied Marie Kyselkova in the role of Princess Lady “in mouse Kožíška”.
In October 1959, however, a promising career of Josef Zima was marked by a car accident when he fell asleep behind the wheel of the car and crashed into a tree. The four -member crew was badly injured and director Jiří Jungwirth, who was part of it, eventually died in the hospital. This tragedy significantly marked the personal life of the artist and was hard to bear her wife Eva.
During his artistic career, Josef was not only involved in acting – for example, he played in comedies, and you will not throw a woman (1966), our Czech Scripture (1967) or in the film Pěčnička and Parail (1970), but he was also very close to singing. Already in 1950 he began singing with the orchestra Jaroslav Ježek. As an interpreter of popular songs, he could see him on the screens in the music program I like Kytky (1970) or in the cabaret singing of love Emanuel Přibyl (1971).
There was also a comedy of Mr. Mlcen (1973). The artist was also an integral part of the music and entertainment program SEJDEME SE NA Vlachovce (1973-1989). The program in which the performers of popular music and the brass band were moderated, and also sang in it. He also performed in the program again on Vlachovce, which was a continuation of the original project in the 1990s. His voice also sounded in the shows it is the music (1977) and Josef Zima (1982).
