Mayor of Revúca Július Buchta had a traffic accident on Thursday (6. 3.), in which he crashed into the fence of a family house. After an accident he inflated more than one per mille, The event was done without injuries. TASR confirmed the information three independent sources.
The traffic accident occurred on Thursday around 4 pm. “The driver led a passenger motor vehicle on Tajovského Street in Revúca, while not fully engaged in driving the vehicle and did not follow the situation in road traffic and crashed into the fencing of the family house,” Informed spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica, Mária Faltániová.
After the accident, the mayor was subjected to a breath test in which he inflated 1.31 per mille of alcohol. The police accused him of an offense of threat under the influence of an addictive substance. “Personal freedom was limited to the driver and was placed in the police cell after procedural acts. The traffic accident is under investigation,” Faltániová added.
Július Buchta has been the mayor of Revúca since 2018, previously worked as a vice -deputy. He is also a member of the Banská Bystrica Self -Governing Region.
