Curtis Miller, 29, resident of Barry, Vale do Glamorgan, in Wales, survived an attack by a 136 kg shark during a fishing expedition with friends in Mossel Bay, a port town in the Indian Ocean, located in South Africa’s western cable on February 28. He needed 91 points after the incident, but survived. The information is from BBC.
Miller and his friends were in the persecution of sharks when a roxed shark, hooked by one of his friends, attacked him. When trying to move the shark over the rocks holding its tail, the animal turned and bit his arm, injuring three Miller arteries.
Despite the severity of the injuries, which surprised the medical team, Miller spent only one night at the hospital before returning to Wales. He told BBC that the hardest part of the experience was to inform his mother about the attack.
Miller, a fishing enthusiast, said the incident did not discourage him. He plans to return to South Africa next year to continue his adventure in shark fishing.
