He remained in the tower for about 3 hours, without safety and barefoot equipment, until a rescue team removed him from there. While raising a Palestinian flag, the man made a video broadcast.
According to a reporter’s report to The Guardianthe protester told whom he watched him that “Pacific protesters are being brutally arrested” e “I took the protest to the so -called center of democracy in the UK”. Elizabeth Tower is located on the east side of the United Kingdom Parliament Houses, also known as Westmintrt Palace.
The Bridge Street and other streets around the tower were closed while the rescue was not completed. A spokesman for the London Metropolitan Police said they were warned about the fact at 7:24 am.
