Lula says that public safety has dedicated an exclusive axis to the protection of women’s lives

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva listed on Saturday (8) a series of government actions alluding to International Women’s Day, March 8. In a publication on social networks, he cites the Salary Equality Law and the creation of the Ministry of Women. The president says that public safety – an influence agenda in the public debate and the popularity of governments – began to dedicate “an exclusive axis to the protection of the life of”.

“Today, March 8, is the day to honor the struggle of Brazilian women. If I became three times President of the Republic, it was also for every Brazilian woman to be free and fully alive her rights. That’s why we first created a ministry of women in Brazil, ”he wrote.

“We resumed the Woman Living Without Violence Program, with integrated actions in the areas of safety, health, social security, justice, social assistance network and promotion of financial autonomy,” says the publication. “We have advanced a lot, but there is still much to be done. Our government’s commitment is to continue supporting these struggles. So that, in fact and right, the woman’s place is where she wants to be, ”he adds.

Programs such as the National Feminicide Prevention Pact, the “they undertake” and scientific initiation pockets for girls, in the areas of computer, engineering and exact sciences are also cited.

The latest Datafolha Institute survey, released in February, points out that 24% of Brazilian voters classify the current government as great or good, with a drop in approval among women. About 38% of the female electorate rated the government positively at the end of 2024. In the latest survey, this portion is also 24%.
