The minister (institutional relations) inaugurates this Saturday (8) the Women’s Hospital of Pará, in the capital Belém, in Agenda with International Women’s Day and two days, where he will replace.
The governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho, will be present at the inauguration.
The hospital will have an emphasis on specialized medium and high complexity care. There will be 120 beds, 20 of them for the ICU. The hospital will be the first in the northern region specializing in women’s health, offering high quality diagnosis and cancer treatment.
The unit received R $ 155 million in state investments. R $ 40.75 million of a parliamentary amendment in 2019 was also applied to the acquisition of equipment for the hospital.
The hospital will be able to perform about 200,000 outpatient procedures per year and 35,000 hospital hospitalizations, according to the proposal presented to the Ministry of Health. It will also offer urgent care and emergency to victims of sexual and domestic violence.
