São Paulo, SP (UOL/Folhapress)-Pope Francis spent 20 minutes in a chapel on the morning of Friday (7) and performed some activities, but his clinical condition is still considered complex and he is still hospitalized.
Vatican reported that Pope’s Day “went between rest, prayer and therapies.” Francisco spent a morning at a chapel located near his room at the hospital, and had “some work activities”.
Pope remains with stable health, but “within a complex picture” and “reserved prognosis”. The Holy Father has made use of nasal cannulas for high flow oxygenation during the day, while at night it needs “noninvasive mechanical ventilation.”
Francisco has been hospitalized for three weeks. Pontiff’s health has alternated between worse and light improvements, but in recent days it has not had new paintings of respiratory failure, nor had fever. The new medical report with updates on the Pope’s health should be released tomorrow, the Vatican said.
In a voice message, Holy Father thanked the prayers received. The small audio, published by the Vatican, shows Francisco with a tired and tired voice, but granting blessings to the faithful.
“I thank you with all your heart for your prayers for my health, I accompany them from here. May God bless you and may the Virgin take care of them. Thank you, ”said Pope Francis.

Pope sent a message to Brazilians
Francisco offered the contribution of the Catholic Church to the COP30 Climate Summit, which takes place in November in Belém (PA). The text was sent to the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil. The message was received in the midst of the fraternity campaign, which is held annually by the institution during the Lent period and begins today.
This year, the event has as its theme “Fraternity and Integral Ecology”. In the message, the Pope defends a “ecological conversion” of humanity and calls for a change of “convictions and practices to let nature rest from our greedy explorations.”
Francisco also said that this year’s campaign expresses the availability of the church to collaborate with COP30. The Pontiff reported expecting that, thus, international nations and organisms effectively commit to overcoming the climate crisis.
“Trusting these votes to the care of Our Lady Aparecida, I grant the apostolic blessing to all the sons and daughters of the dear Brazilian nation, especially to those who strive to care for the common house, asking them to continue to pray for me,” said Pope Francis.
Pope has a letter of resignation ready if health prevents him from following office
