The phenomenon may seem strange but, apparently, has many fans in Portugal.
Circles through Portugal, still in its first steps, a new business: Take advantage of orders not claimed.
Lost orders, instead of clogging warehouses and post office, and instead of being destroyed, are now sold.
The packages are Sold to the kilo and are closed. Without announcing what is inside. That is, the customer buys without knowing what you are buying. It pays but does not know what you are paying.
The French had arrived in Portugal in late 2024.
But there is also a Portuguese company in this market: the Trevobox.
The company’s supply network is mostly International, Ensuring diversified lots of orders discarded by the expeditors, usually from the Asian market.
“We don’t know what’s inside the orders and clients are not either,” confirms brand founder Miguel Puech.
Orders are sold to weight, from 2.49 euros per 100 grams. “And we already had remarkable moments, like when a lady said she was going to leave a mobile phone and that’s what happened. Each client who opens an order can find something totally unexpected and this is part of Trevobox’s charm, ”it reads, in a statement sent to ZAP.
Algarve had already been in events in Portimão and in Albufeira; opened a temporary space in Faro.
But now they traveled a few kilometers and arrived in the north of Portugal, more specifically to the border with Porto, the Nascente (Gondomar). It opened a pop-up store, which is available until the end of this month, March.
Inside the orders you can find electronic articles, clothes, toys, utensils… “Deep down, this It’s like Christmas. Everyone receives a gift, they do not know what is inside, usually even exceeded the expected, but can happen otherwise, for the sake of taste or expectation. ”
“There is only one rule of extreme importance: You cannot open or peer the packagesnot to ruin the experience of other people, ”warns Miguel.
And, it is confirmed, there are even interested: the temporary store in the nascent park “has generated ranks And an environment of discovery that turns each day into popup into a special experience, ”says Miguel Puech.
