Government launches program to boost learning rates

Project establishes public policy for basic education; Agenda seeks to ensure implementation and compliance with PNE goals

The president’s government (PT) launched on Wednesday (5.mar.2025) o National pact for the recomposition of learning. The project aims to ensure adequate standards of learning and development of basic education students, proposing strategies to confront “Defasions” accumulated.

The decree cites some principles that direct public policy, such as:

  • Equality in the conditions of access, permanence and learning of students, regardless of their social origin, race, ethnicity, gender or existence of disability;
  • Promotion of equity, considering the inequalities present in the conditions of educational offer, the diversity and uniqueness of the students served, the lag of learning and the effects of social vulnerability; and
  • The integral formation of the students, with a view to incorporating the cognitive, socio -emotional and cultural dimensions into learning actions.

Will guide the operationalization of Pact 6 axes. They are:

  • assessment;
  • curriculum;
  • Organization and pedagogical mediation;
  • materials;
  • Professional development; and
  • Educational Management.

MEC’s ​​skills in policy involve, in addition to technical and financial assistance, the coordination and monitoring of policies, programs and actions; and the elaboration and dissemination of guidance materials and guidelines for the implementation of curriculum planning and reorganization processes.
