A man who climbed the Big Ben clock tower in London with a Palestinian flag was arrested on Sunday (9).
According to the British media, while making a live video broadcast from the side of the tower.
“We work with other agencies, including the London Fire Department, and mobilize expert officers to end this incident as soon as possible, minimizing life-threatening,” a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.
The emergency teams climbed into a crane to negotiate with the man. He descended after telling the negotiators that he would descend “in his own terms,” according to a Sky News report.
Emergency services closed the Westminster Bridge on Saturday morning (8) in response to the incident, and parliamentary excursions were also canceled, Sky News said. All the roads were reopened after the man’s arrest, police added.
