The US expressed support for Syrian minorities and condolences to victims of massacres.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned “radical Islamic terrorists” on Sunday, who “massacred” the members of the Alavite minority in Syria and asked the temporary government to punish the responsible. This is reported to TASR, according to the AFP report.
“The United States condemns radical Islamic terrorists, including foreign jihadists who have murdered people in the West of Syria in recent days,” Rubio said.

According to the highest US diplomat, the temporary government authorities must “take responsibility to the perpetrators of massacres at minority communities in Syria”.
The riots in the country were again burning after the militiar, faithful to the previous regime of the overthrown President Bashar Assad, attacked the security forces of the temporary government. The Cabinet of Temporary President Ahmad Šara, followed by this, launched an operation in order to remove remnants of resistance to the new regime.
