Meeting takes place on the eve of the government’s confidence motion vote.
The PS’s National Political Commission will meet on Monday night on the eve of the government’s confidence motion vote to analyze the political situation, the party’s official source told Lusa.
The meeting will be held at 21:00 at the PS’s national headquarters, at Largo do Rato, Lisbon, and has as its unique point the analysis of the political situation.
Parliament discusses next Tuesday at 15:00 a motion of trust presented by the minority government PSD/CDS-PP, which has announced lead, as PS and arrives will not make it viable.
The rejection of a vote of confidence implies the dismissal of the government. The President of the Republic, in view of this scenario, has already anticipated that the possible dates to perform early legislatures as soon as possible is on May 11 or 18.
The current political crisis began in February with the publication of a news, by Correio da Manhã, about the family business of Luís Montenegro, Spinumviva, detained by the children and women, with whom he is married in communion of acquired, and who spent this week only to the children of both – raising doubts about the compliance with the incompatibilities and impediments of the holders of public and political positions.
