The interim president of Ahmed Al Sharaa, announced on Sunday (9) the creation of an “independent committee” to investigate massacres reports against the western minority of the country, where a wave of violence broke out on Thursday.
The commission “will investigate violations against the civilian population and identify those responsible,” the presidency said in a statement published on Telegram, adding that perpetrators would be brought to court.
